UPDATE 7 SOLVED: the issue was with the PSU. Also checked the event viewer and it said the Service Control Manager failed to load after resuming from low power state. CPU: AMD FX 6300 (AM3+) RAM: 4 x 4GB DDR3 160 (2x v73t4gnabki)/ (2x corsair value select) Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+. Voilà, the CPU LED blinked and the system resumed. Pushed it back in, Booted my computer, put it in sleep mode and then tried to resume. I reinserted the CPU, fully seated it and put it back together, checked the SATA Cables, and found that one of my SATA Cables was slanted on my backup hard drive. I'm surprised my system was even booting or running. Took the heatsink off of the CPU, which came off easy, and behold, I see a tiny gap, where my CPU was not fully seated. "CPU, Memory, SATA Cables, etc." I reseated the memory, saw no change. It was and I reinstalled it in my system. but if it is important I will get it out and check I hear. Storage: Old 1TB Harddrive Not sure the brand since it is already bolted in. I am in the middle of building my new computer with these current specs: MB: M5A99FX Pro R2.0. Although I do remember I removed my CPU to test in another FX Board to see if the other board was DOA. Asus Motherboard M5A99FX Pro R2.0 Red CPU LED on. I had noticed as the computer tried to resume from sleep mode, the CPU LED would not blink, indicating that the CPU has reinitialized. Due to CPU spec., AMD 100 series CPUs support up to DDR3 1066MHz.
#ASUS M5A99FX PRO CPU LED INSTALL#
Install a 64-bit Windows OS when you want to install 4GB or more memory on the motherboard. Had to do a hard reset to get the computer to boot. Due to OS limitation, when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Fans would spin and HDD would power up, but no video, or if video came on, it would be at the lock screen, and screen would shut off. I seem to have fixed it, but thought I would share my experience to see if I can help others who may be having similar issues.įor 2 weeks or so I was having an issue where my system would not wake from sleep properly. I had some trouble today with my computer.
